My Solo Project

The fashion at the Golden Globes this year was pretty tame. No major stand outs, but nothing too offensive. The popular colors this year were nude and blush tones. There were also random bursts of emerald/greens and sequins (Evan Rachel Wood, Laura Dern, Kelly MacDonald). My favorite look of the night was Charlize Theron in Dior. Simple, elegant and classic. She is so naturally beautiful and I love it.

I’m going through red carpet fashion withdrawal so I’m resorting to past looks. One of my all time favorite ensembles came from Michelle Williams at the 2006 Oscars. She wore a gorgeous mustard yellow Vera Wang dress. This look was flawless. The red lips, the loose bun, the necklace…complete perfection.

Hailee Steinfeld looked adorable in a Moschino Cheap and Chic cocktail dress at the 2011 Oscar Nominees Luncheon. The tuxedo back is freakin’ precious.

Emma Stone looked amazing at the Golden Globes in an open back Calvin Klein dress. I love the peach color with her skin and her hair (which looks smokin’). Surprisingly, it doesn’t wash her out. Simple and classy. I hated most of the dresses on the red carpet, which is probably why this dress is a little out of character for me.
